Bulls Daily Grinder 1

The "Daily Grinder 1" model from Bulls, launched in 2023, is a versatile and robust bike designed for both everyday use and longer rides. The frame is made from high-quality 6061 aluminium and features smooth welding and internal cable routing, which not only ensures a tidy appearance but also protects the cables from external influences. With a maximum load capacity of 135 kg, the bike offers sufficient load-bearing capacity for the rider and additional luggage, making it particularly well-suited to bikepacking.

Braking performance is provided by SHIMANO BR-RS305 disc brakes with 160 mm rotors at both the front and rear, which are mounted via the Centre Lock system. The Daily Grinder 1’s gear system is based on the SHIMANO Claris groupset, which offers 16 gears and is operated precisely and reliably via SHIMANO Claris ST-R2000 shift levers and a SHIMANO Claris front derailleur. The SHIMANO Claris FC-RS200 crankset with 46/34T chainrings and the SHIMANO CS-HG50-8 with a range of 11–34T ensure a balanced gear ratio that performs well both in town and on hilly routes. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC HG-40 chain.

The bike’s fork is also made of aluminium and contributes to its overall stability. For increased safety on the road, the bike is fitted with a FUXON FS-50 front light, which offers 50 lux LED output and features a switch, sensor and daytime running light. The FUXON RZ-60 rear light ensures additional visibility from behind.

The Gravel S handlebars and 3mm Comfortgriptape grips offer a high level of comfort and control, whilst the MTB-S stem impresses with its CCS Slot Mount-ready functionality. The FSA ORBIT C40ACB (NO.42/ACB) headset ensures precise steering. The DDM-2 rims and SCHWALBE CX COMP K-GUARD 40-622 tyres offer a good balance between smooth rolling and puncture resistance.

The hubs are also from SHIMANO; the front hub is an Acera Hub Dynamo DH-3D37QR with Centre Lock, which ensures a reliable power supply for the lights. The rear hub is also fitted with Centre Lock and a quick-release mechanism.

Riding comfort is ensured by the BULLS Gravel saddle in combination with a BULLS aluminium seatpost. Practical features such as aluminium mudguards and a BULLS Urban/Gravel luggage rack round off the spec, making the Daily Grinder 1, priced at 1,399 EUR, an attractive option for fans of versatile cycling.
