Brennabor R-20e

The Brennabor R-20e, launched in 2022, is an e-bike designed for urban use, featuring well-thought-out specifications and robust technology. Priced at 2,549 EUR, it offers a good balance between quality and functionality. The R-20e is powered by a third-generation BOSCH mid-drive motor, the ‘Active Line PLUS’, which provides comfortable assistance with an output of 250 W and a voltage of 36 V. Paired with the BOSCH ‘Powerpack 400’ battery, which has a capacity of 400 Wh, the bike is well equipped for longer journeys around town. The BOSCH “Intuvia” display allows you to select from four levels of assistance and offers a push-assist function.

To ensure safe braking, the R-20e is fitted with PROMAX “RC-903” hydraulic rim brakes, complemented by the brake levers of the same name. Gear changes are controlled via a SHIMANO “Nexus” 7-speed gear lever, which, together with the SHIMANO “Nexus” hub on the rear wheel, ensures reliable gear selection. The bike is fitted with an FSA “CK220” crankset with a length of 170 mm and a SHIMANO 20-tooth sprocket, which drive the bike via a KMC “e1” EPT chain.

The R-20e’s front end consists of a Unicrown aluminium fork, whilst the ERGOTEC “Lady Town” handlebars, with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 640 mm, ensure comfortable handling. The grips are by HERRMANS and are brown in colour. The adjustable ERGOTEC “Sepia Ahead 50” stem allows for individual adjustment to suit the rider.

Lighting is provided by a BÜCHEL “Retro Sport” LED headlight with 20 lux at the front and a CONTEC “CTL-335 E” rear light at the rear. The VP “821” pedals, a SELLE ROYAL “Retro 8965” saddle in brown and a suspension ERGOTEC “SP-10” seatpost ensure comfort and stability. The wheels feature “X14” aluminium hollow-section rims and are fitted with CONTINENTAL “Ride City” tyres in size 47-622, which are fitted with reflective strips for added visibility.

The bike is also fitted with practical extras such as SKS plastic mudguards, a painted aluminium chain guard, an adjustable URSUS “Wave” kickstand and a CONTEC “Powerloc” lock. The MASSLOAD “TA7611A” luggage rack with MIK system offers additional carrying options. Overall, the Brennabor R-20e is a well-equipped e-bike that is ideal for everyday use in the city.
