Brennabor C-13 Tiefein

The “C-13 Tiefein” model from 2024 by Brennabor is a well-designed and functional bicycle, conceived for urban use. Priced at 699 EUR, it offers excellent value for money. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and features a low step-through design, making it easy to get on and off the bike. With a frame size of 44 cm, the bike is particularly well suited to riders who value comfort and ease of access. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 15 kg.

The braking system is fitted with APSE ‘T210DG’ V-brakes at both the front and rear, ensuring reliable braking power in all riding conditions. The 3-speed SHIMANO “Nexus” RBN gear system is operated via a SHIMANO “Nexus” gear lever and offers ease of use for city cycling. The fork is made of robust steel in a unicrown design, which contributes to the bike’s stability.

Lighting is provided at the front by the CONTEC “Dlux 30 N++” with 30 lux and at the rear by the CONTEC “CTL-135”, both powered by a SHIMANO “DH-3N31” hub dynamo. This guarantees a reliable and low-maintenance light source for cycling in the dark. The UNION “SP-822” pedals with a non-slip surface provide a secure grip in all weather conditions.

Power is transmitted via a KMC “Z610” EPT chain, whilst the chainrings – with 38 teeth at the front and 20 teeth at the rear – are from SHIMANO. The handlebars are aluminium KALLOY “City” with a diameter of 25.4 mm, complemented by CONTEC “Tour Wing Eco” grips for added comfort. The stem is also by KALLOY, adjustable and matching the handlebar diameter.

The SCHÜRMANN “YAK” hollow-chamber rims, 21 mm wide, are fitted with CONTINENTAL “Ride Tour” tyres, which feature reflective strips for improved visibility. The spokes are made from stainless steel, which increases their durability. The front hub is fitted with a SHIMANO “DH-C3000” hub dynamo and the rear hub with a SHIMANO “Nexus” 3-speed RBN hub.

Comfort is ensured by the SELLE ROYAL “Vivo Ergo” saddle in the Moderate version and a patented aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm. Plastic mudguards from BÜCHEL and a plastic chain guard offer protection against dirt and wet conditions. The adjustable URSUS “Easy” kickstand ensures the bike stands securely when parked.

The ATRAN “Tour Lite” luggage rack with AVS system rounds off the specification and offers practical transport options for everyday use. Overall, the Brennabor C-13 Tiefein is a well-equipped city bike that impresses with its solid build quality and well-thought-out features.
