Bergamont Vitess N8 Belt Lady

The “Vitess N8 Belt Lady” model from Bergamont, released in 2024, is a high-quality trekking bike designed specifically for women. It is available at a price of 1,499 EUR and offers a wide range of technical features that ensure comfort and performance. The frame is constructed from a 28" ultra-lite AL-6061 tube set, which gives the bike high stability whilst keeping its weight down to just 15 kg. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, ensuring a high load-bearing capacity.

The bike is designed for female riders between 150 cm and 160 cm in height. Safe braking is provided by Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear, with brake levers of the same model. The brake discs each have a diameter of 160 mm and are also manufactured by Shimano (SM-RT10).

The gear system is controlled by the Shimano Alfine SL-S503 8-speed Rapidfire Plus shifter, which allows for precise and easy gear selection. There are eight gears in total. The handlebars are BGM Pro Riser handlebars with a 15° bend, complemented by BGM Comfort Ergo Double Density screw-on grips. The stem is a BGM Pro Multiposition stem with an angle of 10°/25° and a length of 75 mm. The handlebars are 660 mm wide and have a rise of 15 mm.

The wheels are fitted with BGM Pro X15 Disc rims and black stainless steel spokes. The tyres are Schwalbe Marathon Almotion with Raceguard and reflective strips in size 50-622, which ensure excellent grip and puncture protection.

The front hub is a Shimano DH-3D37 hub dynamo with Centre Lock disc and quick-release, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus SG-C6001-8 freehub with Centre Lock disc. The saddle is a Syncros Capilano Trekking Memory Foam, fitted to a BGM Comp seatpost.

Additional features include SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts, an SKS Chainblade chain guard, an Atran kickstand and a Racktime/BGM Trekking Pro luggage rack with the Snapit 2.0 system and integrated mudguard mounts.

The frame geometry is well thought out, with a seat tube length of 415 mm, a top tube length of 580 mm, a head tube angle of 70 degrees and a seat tube angle of 73 degrees. The head tube length is 130 mm, the chainstay length 465 mm, the bottom bracket drop 60 mm and the wheelbase 1099 mm. The top tube height is 688 mm, the fork height is 464 mm and the bottom bracket height is 304 mm. The crank length is 170 mm.
