Bergamont Vitess 7 Gent

The "Vitess 7 Gent" model from the "Bergamont" brand, released in 2022, is a versatile trekking bike that is ideally suited to both everyday use and longer rides. Priced at 1,199 EUR, it offers high-quality components and solid build quality.

The bike’s frame is made from ultra-lightweight AL-6061 tubing and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 14 kg.

Braking performance is provided by a Shimano hydraulic disc brake, model BR-MT200, which, together with the matching Shimano BL-MT200 brake levers and a 160 mm front brake disc (Shimano SM-RT10), ensures reliable deceleration.

The derailleur is a Shimano Deore XT, model RD-T8000 (Shadow), combined with Shimano Deore shift levers (SL-T6000), which enable a 3x10-speed drivetrain. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Deore, model FD-T6000. The handlebars are BGM Pro Riser Bars with a 15° backsweep, whilst the grips are ergonomically shaped BGM Comfort Ergo grips. The stem is a BGM Pro multi-position stem with 10°/25° adjustability and a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm.

The headset is a semi-integrated BGM Comp A-Headset with a diameter of 1 1/8". The rims are BGM Pro X15, designed for disc brakes and fitted with 32 spokes. The tyres are Schwalbe Marathon Almotion with Raceguard and reflective strips, size 50-622.

The front hub is a Shimano dynamo hub (DH-3D37) with Centre Lock and a quick-release, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano FH-M4050 hub, also with Centre Lock and a quick-release. The spokes are black and made of stainless steel.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano trekking saddle with memory foam, fitted to a BGM Comp seatpost. SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts provide protection against dirt and water. An Atran kickstand ensures the bike stands securely, and the luggage rack is a Racktime/BGM Trekking Pro model with the Snapit 2.0 system and integrated mudguard mount.
