Bergamont Horizon N8 Belt Amsterdam

The “Horizon N8 Belt Amsterdam” model from the “Bergamont” brand, released in 2022, is a versatile trekking bike characterised by its high-quality components and robust construction. The price for this model is 1,399 EUR. The frame is made from super-lightweight AL-6061 aluminium with a 28-inch size, resulting in a total weight of 16 kg. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, ensuring a high load-bearing capacity.

The bike is fitted with Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, operated by Shimano BL-MT200 brake levers. The brake discs measure 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear (Shimano SM-RT10). Gear changes are controlled via the Shimano Alfine SL-S503, an 8-speed Rapidfire Plus shifter.

The fork is a Suntour NRX D with 63 mm of travel and preload adjustment. Lighting is provided by the B&M Myc N Plus front light with 50 lux and LED technology, and the B&M Toplight 2 C Plus rear light, also featuring LED and a parking light function.

The pedals are made from aluminium in a trekking design. The bottom bracket is a sealed cartridge system, specifically designed for the belt-drive crankset. The crankset consists of a Gates FC-S150 with a 46-tooth sprocket, whilst the rear sprocket is a Gates CDN with 22 teeth. Power is transmitted via the Gates CDN Carbon Drive Belt with Centre-Track technology.

The handlebars are BGM Pro Riserbars with a 15° back sweep; the grips are Ergon GP10s for added comfort. The stem is a BGM Pro Multiposition with an angle of 10°/25° and a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a BGM Comp A-Headset, semi-integrated, 1 1/8".

The rims are BGM Pro X15, designed for disc brakes and fitted with 32 spokes. The tyres are Schwalbe Marathon Almotion with Raceguard and reflective strips (50-622). The hubs consist of a Shimano Dynamo Hub DH-3D37 (Centre Lock, disc, quick-release) at the front and a Shimano Nexus SG-C6001-8 (freewheel, Centre Lock, disc) at the rear. The spokes are made of black stainless steel.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano Trekking with memory foam, and the seatpost is a Post Moderne PM-780E with suspension. Mudguards from SKS with stainless steel struts, as well as an SKS Chainblade chain guard, provide additional protection against dirt and wet conditions. An Atran kickstand ensures the bike stands securely. The luggage rack is a Racktime/BGM Trekking Pro with the Snapit 2.0 system and integrated mudguard mounts.
