Bergamont Horizon 7 Lady

The "Horizon 7 Lady" model from the "Bergamont" brand, released in 2022, is a high-quality trekking bike designed specifically for women. Priced at 1,299 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical features and a robust build.

The bike’s frame is made from ultra-lightweight AL-6061 aluminium and has a 28-inch size. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 15 kg. This combination of lightness and stability makes the Horizon 7 Lady an ideal companion for longer rides and everyday use.

The braking system consists of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT200) with matching brake levers (BL-MT200). The brake discs measure 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear (Shimano SM-RT10). These components ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions.

The Shimano Deore XT system (RD-T8000, Shadow) is used for the gear changes, complemented by Shimano Deore shift levers (SL-T6000) with a 3x10-speed drivetrain. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Deore (FD-T6000). This combination enables precise and smooth gear changes.

The fork is a Suntour NRX D with 63 mm of travel and preload adjustment. This provides additional comfort on uneven trails. In terms of lighting, the bike is fitted with a B&M Avy N Plus front light (40 lux, LED, parking light) and a B&M Toplight 2 C Plus rear light (LED, parking light), ensuring good visibility in traffic.

Other features include aluminium trekking pedals, a Shimano BB-ES300 bottom bracket with Octalink, and a Shimano FC-T521 crankset (48/36/26t) with a chain guard. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG500 (11–32t), and the drivetrain uses a KMC X10 chain.

The handlebars are BGM Pro Riser Bars with a 15° backsweep, whilst the grips are ergonomically shaped BGM Comfort grips. The stem is a BGM Pro Multiposition (10°/25°) with a clamp diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a BGM Comp A-Headset, semi-integrated, 1 1/8".

The bike rides on BGM Pro X15 rims (32h) and Schwalbe Marathon Almotion tyres (50-622) with Raceguard and reflective strips. The hubs are by Shimano: a DH-3D37 dynamo hub at the front and an FH-M4050 at the rear, both with Centre Lock and quick-release mechanisms.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano Trekking with memory foam, mounted on a Post Moderne PM-780E suspension seatpost. SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts, an Atran kickstand and a Racktime / BGM Trekking Pro luggage rack with the Snapit 2.0 system and integrated mudguard mount complete the specification.

The Horizon 7 Lady thus offers a comprehensive range of features that combine comfort, safety and performance, making it ideally suited to a wide variety of uses.
