Bergamont Horizon 6 Lady red

The "Horizon 6 Lady red" model from the "Bergamont" brand, released in 2022, is a versatile trekking bike designed specifically for women. It is available at a price of 949 EUR and offers a wide range of technical features and specifications, making it an attractive choice for discerning female cyclists.

The bike’s frame is made from lightweight AL-6061 aluminium and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 17 kg. This ensures a good balance between stability and manoeuvrability.

The Horizon 6 Lady red’s braking system consists of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT200), complemented by the corresponding brake levers (BL-MT200). At the front, the bike is fitted with a Shimano SM-RT10 brake disc with a diameter of 180 mm, and at the rear with a 160 mm brake disc of the same type.

For gear shifting, a Shimano RD-M3100 Shadow rear derailleur is used, combined with a Shimano SL-M2010 shifter, which enables 3x9-speed shifting. The front derailleur is a Shimano FD-M370 model. The bike’s fork is a Suntour NEX HLO DS with 63 mm of travel and adjustable preload.

Lighting is provided by a B&M Upp N Plus front light with 35 lux and a parking light function, as well as a B&M Toplight 2 C Plus rear light, also with a parking light function. The pedals are made of aluminium and are designed for trekking.

Further technical details include a Shimano BB-UN101 bottom bracket, a Shimano FC-T3010 crankset with chain guard and chainrings in sizes 48/36/26 teeth, and a Shimano CS-HG200-9 cassette with 11–32 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC X9 chain.

The handlebars are BGM Comp Riser Bars with a 33° backsweep, whilst the grips are BGM Comfort Ergo grips. The stem is also from BGM Comp and is fully adjustable. The headset is a BGM Comp model, semi-integrated and with a 1 1/8" thread.

The rims are BGM Pro X15 Disc models with 32 spoke holes, fitted with Schwalbe Road Cruiser tyres featuring Kevlarguard and reflective strips. The hubs consist of a Shimano hub dynamo (DH-3D37) at the front and a Shimano Centre Lock hub at the rear, both fitted with quick-release skewers.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano Urban model, mounted on a Post Moderne PM-780E suspension seatpost. Mudguards from SKS with stainless steel struts, an SKS Chainblade chain guard and an Atran kickstand complete the specification. The luggage rack is made from BGM Trekking aluminium and is fitted with the Racktime Snapit 2.0 system as well as an integrated mudguard mount.
