Bergamont Horizon 6 Lady brown /black/warm silver

The “Horizon 6 Lady brown/black/warm silver” model from Bergamont, released in 2020, is a versatile trekking bike available for 849 EUR. The frame is made from a lightweight AL-6061 tube set and has a 28-inch size. Weighing 17 kg, the bike is robust yet manoeuvrable.

The Horizon 6 Lady’s braking system consists of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT200) with SM-RT10 rotors, which have a diameter of 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear. The brake levers are also from Shimano (BL-MT200), ensuring reliable and precise braking performance.

The Shimano Deore RD-M591 system is used for the gears, combined with Shimano SL-M2010 Rapidfire Plus shifters, which enable 3x9-speed gear changes. The front derailleur is a Shimano FD-M370, offering a total of 27 gears. The crankset is a Shimano FC-T3010 with chainrings in sizes 48/36/26t and a chain guard. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG200-9 with a range of 11–32t, and the chain is a KMC X9.

The bike’s fork is a Suntour NEX DS HLO with 63 mm of travel and adjustable preload, which provides extra comfort on uneven terrain. Lighting is provided by a B&M Upp N Plus front light with 30 lux and a parking light, as well as a B&M Toplight 2 C Plus rear light, also featuring LEDs and a parking light.

The bike is fitted with aluminium trekking pedals and features a sealed bottom bracket. The handlebars are BGM Comp Riser handlebars with a 33° rise, and the grips are BGM Comfort Ergo double-density screw-on grips. The stem is a BGM Comp Vario with a clamp diameter of 25.4 mm, and the headset is a threaded BGM Comp semi-integrated headset with a diameter of 1 1/8".

The rims are BGM Pro X15 Disc with 32 spokes, and the tyres are Schwalbe Road Cruiser with Kevlarguard and reflective strips, size 42-622. The front hub is a Shimano DH-3D37 hub dynamo with Centre Lock disc and quick-release, and the rear hub is a Shimano hub, also with Centre Lock disc and quick-release. The spokes are made of black steel.

The saddle is an Ergon ST10, mounted on a Post Moderne PM-780E suspension seatpost for added comfort. The bike is fitted with SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts, an Atran kickstand and a BGM Trekking aluminium luggage rack, which incorporates the Racktime Snapit system and features a mudguard mount.
