Bergamont Horizon 6 Amsterdam white/black/silver blue

The "Horizon 6 Amsterdam white/black/silver blue" model from Bergamont, released in 2020, is a versatile trekking bike available at a price of 849 EUR. It features a 28-inch frame made from lightweight AL-6061 tubing and weighs a total of 17 kg.

Braking performance is provided by a Shimano hydraulic disc brake (BR-MT200) with an SM-RT10 rotor, which has a diameter of 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear. The brake levers are also from Shimano (BL-MT200) and offer precise control.

The bike is fitted with a Shimano Deore derailleur (RD-M591), controlled by Shimano SL-M2010 Rapidfire Plus shifters. This combination provides 27-speed gearing, supported by a Shimano FD-M370 front derailleur. The crankset (Shimano FC-T3010) offers a gear ratio of 48/36/26t and is fitted with a chain guard. The cassette (Shimano CS-HG200-9) has a range of 11–32t, and power is transmitted via a KMC X9 chain.

Riding comfort is ensured by a Suntour NEX DS HLO fork with 63 mm of travel and adjustable preload. The handlebars (BGM Comp, riser handlebars) have a 33° bend, whilst the grips (BGM Comfort, Ergo, double density) provide additional comfort. The stem (BGM Comp, Vario) has a clamp diameter of 25.4 mm, and the headset (BGM Comp) is semi-integrated and measures 1 1/8".

The lighting comprises a B&M Upp N Plus front light with 30 lux and a parking light, as well as a B&M Toplight 2 C Plus rear light, also featuring LEDs and a parking light. The pedals are made from aluminium in a trekking design.

The bike is also fitted with a sealed bottom bracket and BGM Pro X15 rims (disc, 32h). The tyres (Schwalbe Road Cruiser) feature a Kevlarguard layer and reflective strips for added safety. The hubs are by Shimano: a hub dynamo (DH-3D37) at the front and a disc hub with quick-release at the rear.

The saddle (Ergon ST10) is mounted on a Post Moderne PM-780E suspension seatpost, which offers additional comfort. SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts, an Atran kickstand and a BGM Trekking aluminium luggage rack with the Racktime Snapit system and integrated mudguard mount complete the specification of the Horizon 6 Amsterdam.
