Bergamont Horizon 4 Amsterdam grey

The “Horizon 4 Amsterdam grey” model from Bergamont, released in 2024, is a versatile trekking bike that stands out for its high-quality components and well-thought-out design. Priced at 899 EUR, it offers excellent value for money.

The bike’s frame is made from a lightweight AL-6061 tube set and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 17 kg. The model is suitable for riders between 150 cm and 160 cm in height.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear, operated by Shimano ST-EF505 brake levers. The brake discs each have a diameter of 160 mm (Shimano SM-RT10). Gear changes are handled by a Shimano RD-T4000 system with 24 gears, operated by Shimano ST-EF505 shift levers and a Shimano FD-TY601 front derailleur.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano Urban, mounted on a Post Moderne PM-780E suspension seatpost. SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts and an SKS Chainblade chain guard ensure the bike stays clean and offers protection in bad weather. An Atran kickstand and a BGM Trekking aluminium luggage rack with the Racktime Snapit 2.0 system and integrated mudguard mount complete the specification.
