Bergamont Horizon 3 Amsterdam

The “Horizon 3 Amsterdam” model from Bergamont, released in 2024, is a trekking bike designed specifically for urban use. Priced at 799 EUR, it offers good value for money.

The bike’s frame is made from a lightweight AL-6061 tube set and is designed for 28-inch wheels. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 17 kg. It is suitable for people between 150 cm and 160 cm in height.

The brakes are Tektro V-brakes at the front and rear, operated via Shimano ST-EF500-8 brake levers. Gear shifting is handled by a Shimano RD-M310 with a Shimano ST-EF500 shifter, enabling a 3x8-speed drivetrain. The front derailleur is a Shimano FD-TY601, offering a total of 24 gears.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano Urban, mounted on a Post Moderne PM-780E suspension seatpost. The bike is also fitted with SKS mudguards with stainless steel struts, an SKS Chainblade chain guard, an Atran kickstand and a BGM Trekking aluminium luggage rack with the Racktime Snapit 2.0 system.
