Bergamont E-Horizon FS Expert

The Bergamont E-Horizon FS Expert from 2024 is a high-quality e-bike designed for a variety of uses. Priced at EUR 5,899, it offers a wide range of technical and comfort features that make it suitable for both everyday use and more challenging rides.

The frame of the E-Horizon FS Expert is made from an ultra-light AL-6061 tube set and features an integrated PowerTube battery as well as 120 mm of rear suspension travel. The maximum permissible weight is 160 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 29 kg. The model is designed for riders between 160 cm and 170 cm tall.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT410) at both the front and rear, complemented by Shimano BL-M4100 brake levers. The brake discs each have a diameter of 180 mm (Shimano SM-RT30). The gear system consists of a Shimano Deore Linkglide with 10 speeds, operated by a Rapidfire Plus shifter (SL-M5130).

The front fork is a Suntour Mobie 35 Air with 130 mm of travel and a 15x110 mm axle. The rear shock is a Rock Shox Deluxe Select Plus RT Air, which is 185 mm long and has 55 mm of travel. Lighting is provided by a B&M IQ-XS front light with 80 lux and a B&M Toplight 2 C rear light.

The bottom bracket is from Bosch (Isis), combined with an FSA CK-320 crankset and a 38-tooth chainring. The cassette is a Shimano Linkglide CS-LG600-10 with a range of 11–43 teeth. The handlebars are BGM Pro Riser handlebars with a 15° rise and a height of 5 mm, whilst the grips are ergonomically designed and double-compounded.

Other features include Alex EXR25 rims, Schwalbe Hurricane tyres with Addix compound and reflective strips (57-622), as well as Shimano hubs (HB-MT400-B front and FH-MT400-B rear). The saddle is a Syncros Capilano Trekking Gel, mounted on a BGM Pro seatpost. Curana Apollo mudguards, a Syncros kickstand and a Racktime / BGM E-Adventure luggage rack with the SnapIt 2.0 system complete the specification.

The drive system consists of a fourth-generation Bosch Performance Line CX motor (BES3) with an output of 250 W and a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and is charged using a standard Bosch 4A charger. The display is a Bosch LED Remote with a Kiox 300 display.

The frame geometry provides a comfortable and stable riding position. The reach is 420 mm, the stack 636 mm, the seat tube length 410 mm and the top tube length 585 mm. The head tube angle is 67 degrees and the seat tube angle 76 degrees. Other dimensions include a head tube length of 120 mm, a chainstay length of 490 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 39 mm, a fork offset of 44 mm, a top tube height of 799 mm, a fork installation height of 550 mm, a crank length of 170 mm, a wheelbase of 1217 mm and a bottom bracket height of 332 mm.
