Bergamont E-Cargoville LJ Elite

The "E-Cargoville LJ Elite" model from Bergamont, launched in 2022, is a high-quality electric cargo bike that stands out for its robust construction and high-performance features. Priced at 6,799 EUR, this model offers a wide range of technical features and a high load capacity.

The frame of the E-Cargoville LJ Elite is made from lightweight AL-6061 aluminium and features a 20/26" configuration with a load platform measuring 70 x 45 or 50 x 45 cm (L x W). The maximum permissible load is an impressive 220 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 30 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Magura CMe5 hydraulic disc brakes with a 4-piston system and 180 mm Magura MDR-P brake discs on the front axle. The gear changes are controlled by the Enviolo Automatic shifter, which enables smooth and automatic gear ratio adjustment.

The fork is a particularly robust BGM Cargo rigid fork, optimised for the demands of a cargo bike. The lighting comprises a B&M IQ-X-E front light with 150 lux LED output and a B&M Bergamont Special LED rear light integrated into the mudguard.

Power is transmitted via a Gates CDX Carbon Drive Belt with an FSA CK-320 crankset (46t) and a Gates CDX sprocket (24t). The bottom bracket is a Bosch Isis, which, in combination with the fourth-generation Bosch Cargo Line motor (250 W, 36 V, max. 25 km/h) and a Bosch PowerTube battery (36 V Li-Ion, 625 Wh), provides powerful assistance. The system is controlled via the Bosch Kiox display and can be charged using the Bosch Standard Charger (4A).

Further features include a BGM Pro riser handlebar with a 15° backsweep and 5 mm rise, Ergon GP10 grips, an adjustable BGM Cargo stem and a Cane Creek Visco-Set headset. The rims are Ryde Andra 40 Disc rims, fitted with Schwalbe Super Moto-X Greenguard tyres (62-559). The hubs consist of a BGM Pro Cargo hub at the front and an Enviolo Heavy Duty Automatic hub at the rear.

The saddle is a Syncros Capilano Trekking saddle with memory foam, fitted to a Syncros Duncan dropper seatpost with 120 mm travel and remote control. Racktime Wingee mudguards and a bespoke BGM Cargo centre stand with two legs complete the specification.
