Bergamont’s 2022 ‘E-Cargoville LJ Edition’ is a versatile and robust electric cargo bike that stands out for its high quality and well-thought-out features. Priced at EUR 5,199, this bike offers a wide range of technical features that make it ideal for everyday transport and use in urban environments.

The frame of the E-Cargoville LJ Edition is made from lightweight AL-6061 aluminium and features a 20/26" platform with a load-bearing capacity of 70x45/50x45 cm (LxW). The integrated PowerTube battery ensures a clean, uncluttered look and protects the battery from external influences. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 220 kg, whilst it weighs 28 kg.

Safety is ensured by Magura CMe5 hydraulic disc brakes with 4-piston calipers. The brake levers are also from Magura and provide reliable and precise braking power. At the front, the bike is fitted with a Magura MDR-C brake disc with a diameter of 180 mm.

The gear system is provided by the Shimano Deore RD-M5100 Shadow Plus with a 1x11-speed system. The headset combines a Cane Creek Visco-Set A-Headset for the fork and an FSA IS-3E A-Headset for the head tube.

The rims are Ryde Andra 40 Disc, fitted with Schwalbe Super Moto-X tyres, which offer additional puncture protection thanks to their Greenguard technology. The front hub is a BGM Pro Cargo with a 6-bolt disc and a 15x100 mm axle, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano Deore XT FH-M8000 with a Centrelock disc and quick-release. The spokes are Sapim Leader.

The Syncros Capilano Trekking saddle with memory foam and the BGM Pro seatpost offer a high level of comfort, even on longer rides. The Racktime Wingee mudguards protect against splashes and dirt, whilst the BGM Custom Cargo centre stand with two legs ensures stability.

The E-Cargoville LJ Edition is powered by a third-generation Bosch Performance Line Cruise motor with an output of 250 W and a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The battery is a Bosch PowerTube with a capacity of 500 Wh. The Bosch Intuvia display offers a user-friendly interface, and the Bosch Standard Charger with 4A ensures fast charging.
