Quite good at the beginning, but a little toothless on long descents: During the first test of the new Trickstuff "Quad", the neat stoppers proved to be somewhat overtaxed during continuous braking. Tinkerer Michael Habighorst has eliminated the weak points of the two-piston system with modified discs and different pads. We subjected the stoppers to another extensive test.

On the descents of steep tarmac roads in the foothills of the Alps, the Quad (front 180, rear 160 millimetres) was never overtaxed. The pressure point is pleasantly defined and hardly wanders even in very hot conditions. There was also no reason to criticise the braking power and modulation, even if maximum manual force is also required for maximum braking power. For the estimated, relatively low price of 127 euros, this is a recommendable brake for touring bikers.
