Shimano XT brakes with four pistons
Shortly before Eurobike 2017, Shimano announced in a short press release that the popular XT disc brake will soon also be available with a four-piston caliper.

A few days before the start of the Eurobike 2017 Shimano has announced that it will popular XT disc brake should also be available with a four-piston caliper in the future. However, Shimano has not provided much information. Only that the brake with its four ceramic pistons is of course equipped with the company's own Ice Tech technology, which caused problems in our disc brake tests. Basically, the two-piston version is very similar to the BR-M8000 brake. Only the braking force, which was in the middle of the field for the two-piston version in the last test, should of course be significantly higher. We will test how much on our brake test bench as soon as the brake is available. Shimano has not provided any information on weights and prices.
