Rubbing disc brake
My disc brake rubs unbearably. Is this due to the corrugated disc? (Robert, by e-mail)

As long as the braking surfaces are flat, the rubbing does not come from the shape of the disc. Rather, a resonance occurs between the brake components. The parts vibrate at the same frequency, the vibrations amplify each other - this manifests itself in the rubbing described above. This is caused by glazed or dirty pads. Replacement is the only solution. The screws are also often not tightened enough. This means that all bolts, especially those on the brake disc, should be tightened firmly and secured with medium-strength threadlocker. Do not exceed the maximum torques! The paint on the saddle mount on the fork must also be removed. Professionals use the Magura-Gnanomat, but a screwdriver will also do.
