With the CR3, Formula presents a new brake in the mid-price segment that already has the latest adjustment options. It stands to reason that the features shown on the brake lever will also be available in the rest of the model range. In addition to a new type of lever width adjustment, which works like a joint in the centre of the brake lever, the kinematics of the brake can also be influenced.
The PLA (Progressive Lever Adjustment) allows the mechanical transmission ratio of the brake and the pivot point of the lever to be changed. This should allow the brake to be perfectly adjusted to the rider's preferences. Everything is possible, from a super-crisp pressure point with little free travel to a leisurely build-up of braking force.
However, development at Formula is by no means standing still in the suspension fork sector either. Although not hydraulic as announced, but extremely light at just 25 grams, Formula is showing a remote lockout for locking the fork for the first time. The special feature: the cable of the lever works like a shaft and thus opens or closes a valve in the damping. The remote lever is also very easy to retrofit.
