At the BIKE Transalp 2022, not only spectacular panoramas and unforgettable experiences await, but also tempting prize money for the fastest riders.

There is good news. The organisers of the Maxxis BIKE Transalp have decided to award prize money again in 2022. The last time prize money was awarded to the top places was in 2016. A total of 20000 euros will be available for the BIKE Transalp 2022 for the first-placed riders.

As a traditional team competition for more than two decades, the prize money will be distributed among the first-placed teams in the individual categories in the team ranking. The fastest teams in the women's, masters, grand masters and mixed categories will receive the following prizes:

  • 1st place: 1200 euros
  • 2nd place: 900 euros
  • 3rd place: 600 euros.

Victory prizes for the 5 fastest men's teams

In the men's event, the five fastest teams can look forward to prize money. It is staggered as follows:

  • 1st place: 3000 euros
  • 2nd place: 2000 Euro
  • 3rd place: 1200 euros
  • 4th place: 800 euros
  • 5th place: 500 euros

The fastest Master teams will be rewarded with 2000 euros for first place, 1500 euros for second place and 900 euros for third place. The first place winners in the individual rankings will receive non-cash prizes.

The facts: The Maxxis BIKE Transalp is a seven-day mountain bike race for everyone across the Alps. Every year, up to 1000 cyclists from more than 35 nations take on this challenge. This year, the challenge is to complete 566 kilometres and 18400 metres of altitude difference from the starting point in Lienz to the finish in Riva del Garda using their own muscle power.
