The route of the 2024 Bike Transalp has finally been finalised
Christmas is already on 21 December this year for all racing enthusiasts, because today we are getting in touch with an early Christmas present and presenting the route of the BIKE Transalp 2024. There is also a completely new format with the E-MTB Transalp.

Topics in this article

There are two outstanding points that connect this 2024 BIKE Transalp. In the north, the Zugspitze. Not only is it Germany's highest point, this giant also reigns supreme on the Tyrolean side, in the Zugspitzarena. It towers above the Zugspitze and anyone standing at the start in Ehrwald looks up in awe at the rock bastion that stretches into the sunny sky above the valley basin. At the other end lies Lake Garda, a place of longing that harmonises the Mediterranean climate with the rugged mountain world like no other. The mountains of Lake Garda are not very high in alpine dimensions, but look all the more impressive from the shore, which is just 70 metres above sea level.

BIKE Transalp - non-stop highlights

The 2024 BIKE Transalp Transalp has no shortage of highlights. There's the crisp Marienbergjoch on day 1, playing with the Via Claudia Augusta, the old Roman road, on day 2, or exploring the 3-country enduro trails on day 3, followed by an epic trip around King Ortler on day 4, followed by the extravagant Gavia Pass on day 5. The heartbreakingly beautiful Malga Movlina on the Brenta captivates the participants on day 6, only to rush them onto the flowing trails on Malga Ringia a day later. And that's just a fraction of the experiences hidden in this extraordinary route. Magical places are strung together like pearls on a necklace, sometimes large and mighty, sometimes small and inconspicuous, but always surprising and breathtaking. And all in all, simply outstanding.

Premiere: The new EMTB-Transalp

For the first time in the 26-year history of the BIKE Transalp, there will be a separate section for e-mountain bikers. In 7 stages, the route leads through the most beautiful regions of the Alps from the Zugspitze to Lake Garda.

E-bikers also have the opportunity to ride the original route of the legendary BIKE Transalp and experience the myth up close. There will be an opportunity to swap batteries on the route. Ambitious riders can compete with other participants on timed sections. Interested? Then take a look at our event page and get all the important information!

The most important facts about the EMTB Transalp

  • A battery exchange station will be set up on the route

BIKE Transalp - need some inspiration?

Our friends from Coffee & Chainrings have put their experiences from last year's BIKE Transalp into an entertaining video. Ideal for sweetening the November weekend, dreaming a little and then registering for the 2024 edition with a 15% discount.
