Seven stages, around 500 kilometres and 18,000 metres in altitude: The BIKE Transalp has been synonymous with adventure, sporting challenges, team spirit and breathtaking mountain landscapes for more than two decades. The fact that the BIKE Transalp cannot be organised for the first time since its first edition is bitter news for all mountain bike fans and the initiators. "Until the very end, we hoped together with our partners that we would still be able to organise the BIKE Transalp this year. Unfortunately, the current situation, including the worldwide travel restrictions and the restrictions imposed by the Austrian and Italian authorities, makes it impossible to organise such a large and international event. That's why we unfortunately have to cancel the BIKE Transalp this year and will concentrate all our efforts on 2021," says Monika Weber, Event Director of the organising Delius Klasing Verlag.
The good news: there is already a new date for what is probably the most spectacular MTB stage race for hobby bikers in Europe. The next BIKE Transalp takes place from 4 to 10 July 2021 will take place. The organisers will stick to the planned route and, together with the stage towns, are already looking forward to experiencing an exciting BIKE Transalp with numerous mountain bikers from all over the world next year.
All those who have already secured a starting place for 2020 can carry it over to next year without any problems. The guaranteed starting place remains valid until 31 January 2021, which means that bookings can be cancelled free of charge. If you have any questions about participation management, including all modalities, the event agency Yunique can be contacted by e-mail at service@yunique.de available.
