Lezyne offers the Power GPS, a speedometer with classic functions such as distance, speed and time, but which can also be linked to various other devices. On the one hand, the GPS device can be connected to a heart rate belt, a cadence sensor or a power measurement crank. On the other hand, the smartphone (iOS or Android) can also be paired with the speedometer. The computer then also displays messages, emails and calls. In addition, the journeys can be Lezyne platform GPS-Root and analysed there. However, we were not convinced by this training platform as, for example, the total altitude metres displayed are not correct. Alternatively, the recordings are also Strava-compatible.
The device itself costs 170 euros and weighs 74 grams without the mount, but is quite tall. The built-in chip receives both GPS and Glonass for greater precision. The data is read from a 30x37 millimetre display, which can be illuminated. This makes it easy to read the data - up to four at a time. Operation is via four buttons and is intuitive after a short familiarisation period. The so-called auto-pause can also be activated. This stops the recording as soon as the driver stops. However, the device sometimes interrupted the recording when travelling uphill at seven km/h, which we found annoying. Otherwise, the bike computer did not make any mistakes. You can record for a maximum of 22 hours on one battery charge.
The Lezyne Power GPS computer impresses with its ease of use and high connectivity, and its price and build quality are also excellent.
