Garmin is expanding its product portfolio in the bicycle sector with a multifunctional front light with integrated dashcam. The new Varia Vue combines a powerful front light with a 4K camera to increase the safety and visibility of cyclists on the road. With a maximum light intensity of 600 lumens and side lighting, the device ensures good visibility and visibility in low light conditions. The integrated camera records videos in 4K resolution and saves them automatically when an incident is detected.

Garmin Varia Vue bike light: intelligent light control plus dashcam

The Garmin Varia Vue bike light has a smart auto-brightness function that adapts to the current light conditions and the cyclist's speed when paired with a compatible Edge bike computer. Five different light modes are available: Low, medium and high continuous light mode as well as day or night flashing mode. The light cone is designed to minimise the light intensity upwards so as not to dazzle other road users. The integrated camera uses electronic image stabilisation to ensure low-shake recordings even on uneven roads. Video recordings are automatically saved when an incident is detected - before, during and after the incident. This could provide valuable evidence in the event of an accident or critical situation. In addition, the Varia Vue has an integrated microphone that records clear audio during every journey.
