Up to now, e-bikers have been able to plan routes in Komoot and use them via the smartphone hub together with the smartphone and COBI.Bike app with the Nyon on-board computer. In future, this integration of the Koomot services with the networked world of Bosch eBike Systems expanded. Thanks to a new navigation function, routes planned with Komoot can now also be travelled with Kiox.
Tours planned or ridden with Bosch on-board computers are also automatically synchronised with Komoot. The completed activities appear in the riders' personal Komoot profiles, who can then add photos and share the experience with their friends as usual. The new functionalities for Kiox are available immediately as a software update. Kiox is also available for retrofitting from specialist dealers. The new, fully networked Nyon on-board computer will also be available for retrofitting from specialist dealers from autumn.
Komoot's recently released e-bike functions will be available later this year for both E-Bike Connect and the COBI.Bike app. With this new option, pedelec riders can plan their route even more precisely: If "eBike" is selected when planning a route with Komoot, the user receives customised information on the duration and difficulty of the tour. In addition, tours travelled with Kiox or Nyon are automatically uploaded to Komoot as e-bike rides.
