I don't know about you, but I like cycling without a rucksack. That's why I tried out the Racebelt from Evoc. You can also fit a tube, pump and tools in there.

You can also store your keys or smartphone in the zip pocket. I first had to get used to the belt on the trail. If you stuff the mesh pocket too full, the belt starts to bounce, especially on bumpy uphill trails. That is uncomfortable. On the descent, on the other hand, the belt hardly bothered us. Equipped with the essentials, I quickly got used to the Racebelt and have enjoyed riding it ever since. Top: can also be worn under a jersey. Weight: 177 grams.

Price 45 Euro e.g. at Mountain time or Amazon available

Plus Price, workmanship; pocket management

Minus Wearing comfort not everyone's cup of tea

Conclusion Good alternative to a rucksack. Good carrying comfort when not fully packed.

Born in South Baden, Laurin Lehner is, by his own admission, a lousy racer. Maybe that's why he is fascinated by creative, playful biking. What counts for him is not how fast you get from A to B, but what happens in between. Lehner writes reports, interviews scene celebrities and tests products and bikes - preferably those with a lot of suspension travel.
