On an extensive tour, every mountain biker needs the right companion for food, spare parts or items that are needed along the way. Muc-Off now offers the new Ride Pack bike rucksack for this purpose. The MTB backpack has a number of features and its robust materials are also made for demanding conditions on the road. After all, not every tour is a picture-book ride, and not every MTB excursion starts and ends in glorious sunshine.
The Ride Pack from Muc-Off is made from almost indestructible Cordura material and offers a number of features that can be useful on a MTB tour. Two adjustable goodies at the lower end take e.g. Knee pads when they are not needed when travelling. The external fastening system, similar to the military MOLLE system, also makes it possible to attach additional pouches to create more storage space. Optionally, a back protector and a hydration system can also be accommodated in the rucksack. Muc-Off has also thought of a soft padded goggle compartment, but this is not included.
Thanks to the roll-top design, the storage space of the backpack can be maximised to 20 litres. The Climate Control cooling system allows air to circulate in all areas - keeping the backpack cool and comfortable both inside and out.
The Ride Pack bike rucksack is equipped with a number of features. A look at the details shows where and how the backpack has been reinforced (information and labelling by Muc-Off).
The Ride Pack from Muc-Off weighs 1.5 kilograms and has the following dimensions: L45 x W35 x D10 cm. The backpack material is made from 50 per cent nylon and 50 per cent polyester.
The Muc-Off Ride Pack is now available at a price of 150 euros. The scope of delivery includes the rucksack, a rain cover and three Velcro patches. Together with the rucksack, the D3O back protector is available as a bundle for just 10 euros more. The small padded tool bag for strapping on shown in the photos above, affectionately called the "basic products pack" on the European Muc-Off website, would also be new and available for 45 euros individually or for ten euros less in a bundle with the rucksack. However, as of 01/03/2024, it is unfortunately already sold out.
