No-Dancing-Monkey-Technology is what USWE calls its 4-point system that secures the F4 to the back. Four straps are brought together to form a central fastener in front of the chest.

As the lower straps run just below the arms, the USWE MTB backpack sits rock-solid and cannot slip upwards, even on steep sections. Even when loaded (comes with a three-litre hydration bladder), the F4 with a volume of nine litres can be secured better than a backpack with a conventional strap system.

However, if you adjust the adjustable straps too tightly, you will feel restricted in your breathing. The layout is practical and there is space for both full-face and half-shell helmets.

The direct successors to the USWE F4 Pro backpack from 2017 are the USWE Patriot 9 and Airborne 9 models, which both use the same carrying system and only differ in terms of pocket layout, materials and design. The latest model is the USWE Race 2.0, a particularly purist hydration pack for XC, Race, Road or Gravel.

CONCLUSION: The USWE bike backpack in the test

Thanks to its ingenious 4-point harness system, the rucksack from Swedish manufacturer USWE sits securely.
