Low body position - and then pedalling for all you're worth. Ambitious gravel and cross-country mountain bikers sit sportily in the saddle. A conventional touring or enduro backpack is not always ideal because it may be oversized in riding situations where minimum weight and maximum freedom of movement are required. So start without a rucksack? Not ideal either. Especially in the hot season, it's better to carry more than too little liquid. And there is not always room for two large water bottles on the bike. The best solution is to pack your water supply. This is what the new Rogla 5 is designed for. It offers space for a two-litre hydration bladder and everything else you need on long, sporty day trips with minimalist equipment.

The Deuter Rogla 5 hugs the body closely and aerodynamically thanks to its vest-like design. It weighs just 350 grams. Individually adjustable chest straps and the adjustable elasticated ribbed side straps allow you to adjust the Lightweight rucksack to fit the body shape exactly. As breathing is not impaired, the rucksack waistcoat is also suitable for competitions such as marathons.
Design and material against heat build-up
Air-permeable shoulder straps and the back system with breathable mesh material and ventilation slits are designed to help prevent heat build-up on the upper body so that performance is not impaired. Separate pockets on the straps allow quick access to smartphones, bars or gels. Special holders for glasses, air pump and helmet round off the well thought-out features. According to Deuter, the Rogla 5 is also manufactured without PFAS (perfluorinated and polyfluorinated alkyl compounds); it also bears the bluesign label for sustainability as well as the Green Button and ClimatePartner labels. The recommended retail price is 100 euros.
