With Sierra and Ridge, Fantic is presenting two new e-MTB platforms for the 2026 season that address different material concepts and areas of use. What both have in common is the new Bosch Performance Line CX Gen5 with 800 Wh battery.
With the introduction of the Sierra and Ridge, Fantic is launching a new platform strategy in the e-mountainbike segment. Instead of individual model updates, the Italian manufacturer is focusing on two clearly differentiated technical bases for the first time: a carbon platform for performance-heavy trail applications and an aluminium platform with a focus on robustness, versatility and accessibility. Both series were developed in parallel and share central technologies, above all the fifth-generation Bosch Performance Line CX.
The new Bosch drive delivers up to 120 Nm of torque and really comes into its own on steep climbs and technical passages. Power is supplied by the Bosch PowerTube battery with 800 Wh capacity. The battery can be removed from the down tube for charging, and an additional 250 Wh range extender is provided for longer tours or alpine use.
The Sierra models are the sportier and more performance-orientated of the two new platforms. The basis is a completely newly developed carbon frame, which is aimed at riders who expect maximum control on demanding trails, rough descents and technically challenging routes.
The central element of the frame construction is the so-called Cobra Design - a frame architecture in which stiffness is built up specifically where it is required for precise steering behaviour and stability under high loads, while less stressed areas are deliberately made slimmer. The aim is to achieve a balanced ratio of control, feedback and weight.
The suspension travel for all Sierra models is 160 millimetres at the front and 155 millimetres at the rear. The suspension concept is complemented by a flip-chip system in the rear triangle. This allows the conversion from a classic 29-inch set-up to Mullet-Mix with a 27.5-inch rear wheel without changing the basic balance of the bike. Riders can therefore choose between maximum smoothness and increased manoeuvrability depending on the area of use.
Another special design feature is the coaxial Horst link joint on the rear triangle. The brake calliper is positioned around the pivot point of the rear wheel axle. The aim of this solution is to decouple the braking influences from the chassis for better traction.
All Sierra models are available in the colours Arctic White and Volcanic Bronze. The Sport version will also be available with Shimano drivetrain from autumn.
With the Ridge, Fantic has added an aluminium platform to its carbon range that is specifically designed for versatility and durability. The frame is identical for all Ridge variants and forms the basis for two different areas of use: Trail and All Mountain.
The Cobra design is also used for the aluminium frame. The down tube has a variable wall thickness and is specifically reinforced in the area of the head tube to increase torsional rigidity. At the same time, the seat tube has been shaped to provide more freedom of movement downhill - a detail that is particularly relevant on technically demanding routes.
The trail versions have 150 millimetres of suspension travel at the front and rear and are designed for the widest possible range of uses. The all-mountain models with 170 millimetres of suspension travel, on the other hand, are aimed at riders who are regularly out and about on demanding terrain and want additional reserves in the suspension.
All Ridge models are available in the colours Desert Gold and Storm Grey and can be reserved online via Fantic's Click & Collect system and processed via the dealer network.
