Scott has something new on offer for bikers who don't want to do without a certain level of comfort on long tours: in order to fill the gap between the sporty Spark eRIDE (Scott's e-bikes will be labelled eRIDE from now on) and the downhill-oriented Genius eRIDE, the Swiss company will be offering the Strike eRIDE in future. 140 millimetres of front and rear suspension travel and, thanks to the flip-chip, a choice of 2.8-inch-wide 27.5-inch or 2.6-inch-wide 29-inch tyres should ensure that the Scott Strike eRIDE runs smoothly.
Equipped with a comparatively long top tube, long chainstays and a high bottom bracket, the Strike eRIDE offers the rider a comfortable, less aggressive geometry that gives the biker enough security even on difficult passages. The ergonomic saddle and ergonomic grips fitted as standard also match the bike's touring-orientated range of use.
Bosch instead of Shimano, or: Stuttgart instead of Japan
The new Strike eRIDE is powered by a Bosch Performance CX motor and a 500 watt-hour Bosch Powertube battery. The Sram NX Eagle 12-speed cassette, the first 12-speed sprocket set from the American component manufacturer that is also approved for e-bikes, ensures the right gear ratio (more info on the Sram NX Eagle). The Strike eRIDE is available in five versions, two of which are intended as Contessa versions for the female e-bike clientele.
In addition to the Strike eRIDE, the frame of the sporty 120-millimetre Aspect eRIDE hardtail has been completely redesigned and replaces the old E-Scale. Also new: As with the Strike eRIDE, Scott has also opted for a Bosch motor and battery for the new Aspect eRIDE. The bike is available with 27.5-inch wheels in size S and with 29-inch wheels in sizes M and L.
