In 2016, Specialized launched the Turbo Levo FSR 6Fattie a big hit landed. This is why there will be both a more affordable entry-level Plus Levo and a completely new line in 2017: the Specialized Turbo Levo FSR ST. The abbreviation "ST" stands for "short travel" - the new version comes with 120 millimetres of travel at the rear, not 135 like the "classic" Levo FSR 6Fattie. The geometry has also been adapted. Three models will be available, all with an integrated Brose motor and 460 Wh battery. The men's models are clearly aimed at sporty touring riders: 120 millimetres and fast 29er tyres. Specialized is also offering a women's E-Fully for the first time.
As the name suggests, this version of the Turbo Levo rolls on large 29-inch wheels. Owners of the 4999 euro Comp can look forward to high-quality Fox Performance suspension and the other parts are also well chosen: Sram Guide brakes, GX drivetrain and 29 millimetre wide Roval rims. A dropper post is also on board.
The entry-level version of the Levo ST for 3999 euros also rolls on the classy 29-inch Roval wheels like the more expensive Comp model. The lower price is noticeable in the rest of the equipment, but it is still very sensibly chosen: Rock Shox Revelation fork, Sram NX drivetrain and DB5 brakes.
The women's Levo is available from dealers for 3999 euros on 2.8 inch wide plus tyres, offering extra safety. The tyres are also mounted on Roval wheels. A Rock Shox Yari with 120 millimetre damping at the front and a Fox Float at the rear, as on the other models. The gears are also shifted with Srams GX and the brakes with DB5.
As described, Specialized is also offering a Levo with 140 millimetres of travel for beginners for € 3999 in 2017. It is also powered by a Brose motor in conjunction with a 460 Wh battery. At the rear, a Fox shock controls the 135 millimetres of suspension travel, while a Rock Shox Revelation RL controls the 140 millimetres at the front. An NX rear derailleur from Sram shifts the gears and DB5 brakes stop with pinpoint accuracy. This bike also rolls on Roval wheels.
