Poison continues!
In October 2012, the future of the Poison brand was still uncertain. The insolvency filing by parent company Teikotec Bike-Trading GmbH did not bode well. But Managing Director Hans Werner Theisen carried on.

German bikes under the name POISON will continue to be available: In mid-January, the newly founded Poison Bikes GmbH took over the brand rights, inventory and a large part of the stock of the insolvent company Teikotec Bike-Trading GmbH.

This means that bicycles and wheels from the traditional brand will continue to be produced and sold directly at the same location. Managing Director of the newly founded company Hans Werner Theisen assures customers of an additional 36 months crash replacement and a 6-year warranty in the event of frame breakage in addition to the 24-month statutory warranty.

The current 2013 models will soon be published on the bike brand's website. The delivery time for a customised complete bike is around three to four weeks.

Until the end of February 2013, Poison Bikes GmbH is running a loyalty promotion for orders placed by existing and new customers.

Further information can be found on the manufacturer's website www.poison-bikes.de

Sebastian Brust was born in 1979 and was originally socialised on his grandmother's folding bike, but has mainly been riding studded tyres since his fifth birthday. Loves all kinds of bikes - and merging with nature. Believes that disc brakes are much safer today than they were 15 years ago and thinks he has helped with his brake and pad tests. However, the trained vehicle technology engineer very much regrets that the bicycle industry is orientating itself on what he considers to be the wrong ideals of the car industry. At BIKE, he corrects, produces and organises digital content on the website.
