MSA takes over Bionicon
Bionicon is known above all for customised and sophisticated geometry solutions. The company from Tegernsee is now being taken over by the bicycle group MSA.

When you think of MSA, do you think of Mont-Sainte-Anne, the legendary World Cup course in Canada, the oldest and at the same time one of the most difficult courses on this year's racing calendar? We can't blame them. But from a German perspective, MSA also rings other bells. This is the name of a company from the Upper Palatinate, which has been established in the two-wheeler sector for years and is behind the distribution and in some cases also the production of motorbike brands such as Kymco, Hyosung and Mondial or bicycle brands such as Strida and Trenoli.

MSA takes over Bionicon

MSA has been in business for a good twenty years now, and since last year the Upper Palatinate company has also been responsible for the distribution of the cult brand Bionicon from Tegernsee. This partnership is now being intensified. MSA is taking over Bionicon completely, the headquarters will be relocated to the Upper Palatinate, but Lake Tegernsee will remain the location and main test area. The core team will also be retained in any case, and in future customers will be able to look forward not only to the innovative solutions for which Bionicon has become famous, but also to better support from the manufacturer with a stronger dealer network and improved service.

Of course, Bionicon now also builds e-mountainbikes. With MSA behind them, they will probably be able to expand their commitment in many directions.Photo: MSA,Bionicon Of course, Bionicon now also builds e-mountainbikes. Germany-wide dealer network, better service

Bionicon will continue to do what it does best: Building solid and innovative bikes. With a sporty touch and of course a focus on mountain bikes, MSA also wants to complete its own portfolio - the subsidiary brands Strida and Trenoli already cover the e-bike and city bike sectors.
