Votec has been sold via Fahrrad.de and Brügelmann since March 2012. The 1940 gram frame is characterised above all by its outstanding stiffness, which makes it interesting for heavy riders.

Two thru axles (can only be opened at the rear with a 5 mm Allen key) ensure that the racer hits its target lines precisely and does not waste a single watt of body energy. The sporty, stretched seating position and the double crankset define the race-orientated range of use. The sensible Schwalbe tyre combination with reinforced sidewalls guarantees perfect puncture protection and grip when turning. Hobby racers will search in vain for a handlebar remote. Instead, the XT Shadow+ rear derailleur reduces annoying chain slap. All cables run neatly under the down tube to the rear. The ten-year warranty on the aluminium chassis also earns the sporty Votec hardtail important points.

ConclusionWith stiffness values like a carbon frame, the Votec appeals to sporty and heavy riders.

PLUS Extremely stiff, good tyre combination, precise handling
MINUS Tools required to remove rear wheel, heavy frame
