The flat front and the pleasantly stretched riding position nevertheless ensure effective pedalling. The ten-speed Deore/XT gearing mix stands out in the test field comparison, and the easily adjustable Rockshox air fork is also one of the best. The good impression is also maintained on the trail: the rider is optimally positioned on the bike and the sensitive fork provides a lot of control. This brings the handling of the Summit 6.0 very close to that of modern bikes. Univega relies on a double crankset and the gap between the two chainrings is large. At 30 centimetres, the seatpost is too short and offers hardly any clearance for taller riders. The mediocre warranty conditions and the heavy frame cost points, but in the practical evaluation it's enough for the podium.
Conclusionbalanced bike with sporty genes and good equipment, harmonious geometry.
PLUS Modern geometry, good fork, equipment, 10-speed
MINUS Heavy wheels, heavy frame, support too short
