Test: Canyon Grand Canyon AL 6.9
At twelve kilos, the Grand Canyon AL 6.9 weighs the least of the 29ers in the test. It has a light, stiff frame. The riding position is short for a size M bike.

The Grand Canyon AL 6.9 has a frame that is as light as it is stiff. For a size M mountain bike, the riding position is rather short, allowing you to find a relaxed yet perfectly integrated position on the bike. The well-designed cockpit with sufficiently wide handlebars and relatively short stem reinforces the feeling of sitting down and feeling comfortable and gives the bike manoeuvrable, agile handling despite the large wheels. The switch to 29" is easy here. In addition to the balanced riding characteristics, the Grand Canyon scores with its excellent spec. From the low-rattle Shadow Plus rear derailleur to the screw-on grips, a lot of attention has been paid to detail. The high-quality tyres and good brakes round off the harmonious overall picture.

Test summary of the Canyon Grand Canyon AL 6.9
