The multiple test winner from Bulls leaves nothing to be desired in 2015 and takes the lead among the specialised brands. Despite minimal compromises in 2015, the Copperhead gets a BIKE tip.

Even if there are minimal compromises on cranks and brakes compared to last year, Bulls remains number one in terms of equipment. Even the mail-order competition loses out at this hard-calculated price. The not only high-quality, but also well thought-out equipment also ensures the second lightest weight in the test. With wheels under the four-kilo mark and high-quality tyres, the Copperhead 3 has agile handling and is easy to accelerate. The powerful Shimano brakes, which even have a large 180 mm disc at the rear, provide the necessary deceleration. The Shadow Plus rear derailleur provides additional peace of mind off-road, reducing chain slap on the precise XT gears.

Test summary of the Bulls Copperhead 3

Excellently equipped and also very light hardtail with balanced handling.

PLUS Low overall weight, light wheels, top equipment
MINUS Narrow handlebars and rims

Lightweight rims and lightweight Schwalbe Evolution tyres help to keep the wheel weight low, which has a positive effect when accelerating.Photo: Georg Grieshaber Lightweight rims and lightweight Schwalbe Evolution tyres help to keep the wheel weight low, which has a positive effect when accelerating.
