Successful overall package: Ghost Lector SF Universal
The unique geometry concept of the Lector SF manages to combine a sporty, efficient riding position with extremely good downhill characteristics.

With the Lector SF, Ghost is pursuing a new strategy to expand the top-end range of cross-country hardtails. The concept of a short stem, extremely long reach and wheelbase has been transferred from the enduro sector to the race hardtail. The more expensive versions of the Lector SF even feature a fully retractable seatpost. From size L upwards, the suspension travel on the fork increases from 100 to 120 millimetres. Does this progressive geometry approach still do justice to the cross-country area of application?

You can download the complete test with all riding impressions and laboratory values from BIKE 6/2021 as a PDF below the article.

The test costs 0.99 euros. Why not free of charge? Because quality journalism has a price. In return, we guarantee independence and objectivity. This applies in particular to the tests in BIKE. We don't pay for them, but the opposite is the case: we charge for them, hundreds of thousands of euros every year.
