"Attention, danger!", warns the Myroon, painted in bright KTM orange, to its fellow riders. Standing out at all costs - that seems to be the motto of the KTM (which fits the name "Prestige" quite well).

Whether at the start line or in the race crowd - the brightly coloured KTM stands out from the crowd. And that's not all: the components, wheels and suspension fork are also colour-coordinated down to the last screw. But you can't win a race with great looks alone. On the track, other values count - acceleration, for example: When the starting signal is given, the stiff KTM is right at the front. The low-traction narrow-track tyres roll as if by themselves on flat surfaces, and the longest wheelbase in the field helps with acceleration. But this is exactly what costs the Myroon places on the trail. The stretched geometry makes it sluggish on narrow trails and the tyres lack grip. Strange: The internally routed cables rattle off-road.

Conclusion: the style champ. With its long wheelbase and large discs, the KTM is a front runner in marathons.

PLUS Large brake discs, Boost rear triangle, lightweight wheels
MINUS Narrow tyres, relatively heavy frame, X1 sprocket set instead of XX1

The alternative: KTM offers ten variants of the Myroon from 2599 euros. They are available with Boost rear triangle, 11 or 22 gears and with XTR Di2. Attractive: the Prime 22s XTR for 4299 euros.

Professional conclusion: "Visually striking, KTM remains true to its line and is immediately recognisable. For me, the thin tyres would be too undersized for marathons and therefore prone to failure. But the acceleration is brutal!"
