The Rebelion is a very stiff, but unfortunately also quite uncomfortable race bike. Due to the under-utilised equipment, it comes last in terms of weight.

Traditionally, you expect an extremely stiff frame from a Storck, which unconditionally converts every ounce of energy into propulsion. In keeping with this maxim, the Rebelion 1.0 top frame also delivers what the Storck name promises. In terms of head tube stiffness measured by us, only the Canyon is just ahead of the Rebelion. However, in combination with the unexceptional frame weight of 1189 grams, this is only enough for third place in the STW ranking.

Off-road, however, the Storck shows its hard side through and through, which is also confirmed by the last place in our comfort measurement. Neither the rear triangle nor the seatpost flex noticeably, which is in stark contrast to the sensitive Fox fork. The geometry of the Rebelion is suitable for a race bike, the riding position is sporty and the steering is quite agile. However, the narrow 600 mm handlebars in combination with the bar ends also restrict better downhill control. The Fox fork, complete XTR groupset with triple crankset and the aluminium wheelset with heavy tyres make for the highest total weight in the test.

CONCLUSIONThe Rebelion is a very stiff, but unfortunately also quite uncomfortable race bike. Due to the under-utilised equipment, it comes last in terms of weight.
