Stevens Sonora SL: 29er racing file with rigid fork
For all lightweight fanatics, Stevens is launching the Sonora SL, a 29er rigid carbon bike. Weights with a seven before the decimal point can be expected for the complete bike. We found the prototype at the BIKE Festival in Willingen.

At the request of dealers and customers, Stevens is launching a lightweight version based on the well-known 29er Sonora carbon frame with a rigid carbon fork. The frame weighs just 995 grams. The fork weighs in at 590 grams. Unlike the trade fair prototype, the production bike is equipped with Shimano XTR gears and carbon components from Ritchey. The frame is available for 1299 euros. Ready to race, the Sonora SL will cost around 6900 euros.

In series production, Shimano's XTR groupset replaces SRAM's XX - the carbon rigid fork remains. The weight will therefore be less than eight kilograms.Photo: BIKE Magazin In series production, Shimano's XTR groupset replaces SRAM's XX - the carbon rigid fork remains.
