Racing in the 24-hour race through the Olympic Park didn't push the Sonora to its limits, but the carbon hardtail from Hamburg is happy to do without the race number on the handlebars.

With its 29er-friendly triple cranks, moderate geometry and sensitive Fox fork, the Stevens feels more at home on long tours. Even several hours in the saddle are comfortable with the curved handlebars in your hands and the high front end. The somewhat sluggish acceleration is not as noticeable as on the sprint lap. The voluminous carbon fibre frame is not only finely finished, but also stiff enough for tall and heavy riders. Thru-axles at the front and rear, internally routed cables and a smooth-running quick-release saddle round off the positive overall impression.

ConclusionComfort racer with customised equipment and high-quality carbon fibre dress, which only shows its advantages on long tours.

PLUS Rigid frame, five-year guarantee
MINUS Simple equipment, unusual handlebar shape
