Designers, inventors, musicians. Most of them ended up on private television as lukewarm fodder for the eighties shows. Now it's Corratec. "Revolution" it screams from the top tube. A nice phrase, you might think. But Corratec is serious. Because the actual sophistication cannot be seen with the naked eye. In order to get the best out of the frame, the Raublinger use a new manufacturing process. It is called "TCM" (tubing, casting, moulding). Each tube is first individually customised for force flow and load. The frame puzzles are then placed in a common baking mould, similar to the tried-and-tested monocoque production process. "Others take one step in the production process, we take two," triumphs Konrad Irlbacher, the spiritual father of the revolt. The advantage is not only an optimum ratio of weight and stiffness, but also comfort. Sounds self-confident.
