The slack steering angle of the Specialized catches the eye at first glance. This ensures an extremely smooth ride and qualifies the Levo as a top entry-level bike.

The high-quality tyres with grippy tread increase grip, and thanks to the 200 mm discs, the affordable Shimano stoppers grip well. Ergo: The off-road performance is impressive. The bike loses points for the drive system, but the test bike was still fitted with the smaller 420 Wh battery, in future the Levo will be supplied with 460 Wh. This provides around 10 % more range. A display or control element on the handlebars is available as a retrofit option. The Mission Control app then offers many additional features.

ConclusionSpecialized takes the topic of E-MTB seriously and builds a hardtail with high off-road ambitions but a short range. Great details such as a bottle cage, onboard tool and app complete the picture.
