Specialised Rockhopper Pro
The Rockhopper Pro is a sporty bike with nice details that is at the back end of the equipment range.

The Americans have also instilled sporty attributes into their entry-level models. Despite its low spec, the Pro model of the Rockhopper with a total weight of 11.8 kilos and a successful geometry is also suitable for more ambitious bikers. Although the continuous outer shells, a finely scaled seatpost and the air pressure table on the fork are only details, they help the stylish and lightweight frame (1726 grams) to stand out from the uniform grey of this price range. The manoeuvrable, playful handling guarantees fun on easy terrain. Only the Recon fork (without handlebar remote control) and the weak Shimano stoppers put a stop to your own courage in rough terrain. The in-house tyres turned out to be an all-rounder with good wet grip. Tip: for small women in 13 inch!

PLUS Continuous outer shells, sporty riding behaviour, frame heights
MINUS Handles turn, weak equipment

Tuning tip 180 front disc, replace grips

Conclusion: A sporty bike with nice details that ranks towards the back of the equipment range.

A matter of course, but not available on all bikes: fine indexing on the seatpost for precise adjustment.Photo: Daniel Simon A matter of course, but not available on all bikes: fine indexing on the seatpost for precise adjustment.
