A year ago at the Lake Garda Festival marathon, the then brand-new Razorblade left a positive impression on us. As with their racing bikes, the Vorarlberg-based company used all their expertise on the Razorblade to design a unique, beautiful and, above all, comfortable frame. With the same value as BMC (8.35 mm), the carbon 29er with special Simplon seatpost shares the crown in the comfort ranking. At the same time, the stiff bottom bracket and head tube area ensure direct power transmission. Thanks to the fast Rocket Ron tyres with latex milk and the Crossmax wheels, the Razorblade accelerates light-footedly after hairpin bends. The negative stem angle on the test bike allows the rider to crouch over the front wheel in a streamlined manner. The professional testers were also not bothered by the cheaper and less firm Reba fork. However, customised parts such as handlebars, stem and spacers can be replaced by Simplon at no extra cost anyway.
ConclusionThe comfort racer par excellence with an independent, stylish frame and plenty of racing genes.
