Rotwild R.R2 Team
The R.R2 Team from Rotwild is an excellent marathon bike with top riding characteristics and effective suspension.

Alban Lakata became marathon world champion on the R.R2 in 2010, and that's also the bike's favourite discipline. The classic diamond frame shape with the shock behind the seat tube reveals the R.R2's huge advantage over the competition: space for two bottle cages! The suspension works sensitively and comfortably, but never has a negative impact. You utilise the travel and can ride it open all the time, as even tester Kurschat confirmed. The platform lever is difficult to reach anyway. The long-distance riding position and good geometry were also pleasing. Rotwild swapped the flexing Crank Brothers stem for an aluminium model for the test. At our request, the bike came with a quick-release seatpost and triple cranks - the customer can also order a double.

ConclusionExcellent marathon bike with top riding characteristics and effective suspension.

As with the Cube AMS, the Rotwild characteristics also show the marathon and touring character. Lots of harmonious suspension travel, here too the Fox fork reaches progression earlier than the very good rear end. The sensitive function of the rear suspension is a plus point, you don't feel any influence from the drivetrain and the suspension travel can be utilised.Photo: BIKE Magazin As with the Cube AMS, the Rotwild characteristics also show the marathon and touring character.
