One frame, six models: The high-quality, 690 euro aluminium frame of the Count Solo is used on the entry-level bike (849 euros) as well as on the Count Solo 8 for 2649 euros. With internally routed cables, a weight of 1744 grams and the option of converting to a BB30 crank, the frame is a solid basis for one or two tuning measures. Only the butted head tube is missing. The FSA crankset changes gears in good Shimano style and the MT-2 stoppers from Magura are easy to modulate, even for beginners. Only the inexpensive version of the X-King tyres could offer more traction on loose surfaces. The gold version of the Recon fork utilised the entire travel, which is why the additional investment (€ 300) compared to the Count Solo 4 makes little sense.
Conclusion: Successful overall package with high-quality frame; solid basis for later component tuning.
