On fast descents, the agile "Vertex" requires an experienced rider. The propulsion is impressive.

With its unmistakable "Maple Leaf" paintwork, the "Vertex" has been winning race after race since 1992 and has already proven its long-distance capabilities on several occasions. While the Canadians' "Team only" top model is made of lightweight Scandium, our test bike comes with a solid aluminium frame. 1,733 grams at a frame height of 19 inches put a lot of pressure on the scales, although the lightweight construction of the Rocky ensures an acceptable overall weight. On the trail, some testers found the handling too nervous due to the steep steering angle in combination with the narrow handlebars. The sporty riding position and the wide Conti tyres guarantee plenty of propulsion.

CONCLUSION: On fast descents, the agile "Vertex" requires an experienced rider. The propulsion is impressive.
